Workouts

People are always asking me how to tone their legs, especially the outer thigh. Let's do this oldie but goodie move from one of my TV Show Daily Workout episodes! In order to get toned thighs, let’s make sure we are doing this right! Good form and technique is so important. Not only to really see results, but to make sure you are staying safe. Be sure to keep your knee and wrist in a straight line. I encourage you to push yourself to really lift the leg higher and just to take your time. In this case, slower is better! And don’t forget to zip up those abs!

One of the best benefits of this particular body position to target the outer thighs is it also zeros in on the sides of the waistline too… Double the workout in half the time!!!!

To fully incorporate this exercise (AND hundreds of others!) into a full workout, join my Denise Austin Fitness Membership! Members get hundreds of recipes, all challenges and workouts and so much more! The time is NOW to start your FREE trial!! Let’s do this together because YOU are worth it!

Now it's time for your trainers tip for the outer thigh toner. Let's make sure you're doing it correctly and effectively. First of all, your shoulder and your wrist is in a straight line, not out here. Keep it nice and tall. Then your knee and your wrists in a straight line, lift and lower the leg. Your goal here is to try to get that leg lifted and stay up like this. Don't go into the shoulder, fall down like this. It's all about lifting up and working the outer thighs. If you're just starting out, go ahead and do the beginner one. This is a little easier. It's still a very effective exercise to trim your outer thighs. Lift and lower. Slower is better. Really feel it, lengthen that leg. Pull in the belly button, zip up and engage the ab muscles. That's it. What a great way to firm up those legs. Join me each and every day. I love you to worked out with me. Keep it up and I'll see you right here on the next daily workout. Go out and make it a fabulous day. Bye Bye.
