I love the look of naturally stained lips, and luckily you can easily achieve this look through some fruit! Blackberries, raspberries and cherries are perfect for staining lips. Just take a few of each, mash in a small bowl, and apply with your fingers (be aware your fingers may stain a bit too) or a lip brush. Then eat those antioxidant-rich berries - beauty and health combined!!Natural Foot Scrub. Summertime means sandal time... unfortunately, sandals and other backless shoes like flip flops expose our feet to the elements, and don't properly contain them the way regular shoes do This can lead to dry skin and cracked heels. Want to keep your feet sandal-ready and looking their best? I always keep a pumice stone in my shower, and make sure to give my heels and balls of my feet a quick once-over, to help keep them looking soft and pretty. I follow that up with a little bit of coconut oil rubbed in to the toes and heels to moisturize. I also like to do a weekly foot scrub - get a mason jar with a lid and combine a natural scrubbing element like salt or sugar, with an oil such as coconut or olive oil, and add in your favorite essential oil scent - a few drops will do it. You could also just squeeze in some citrus - grapefruit, orange or lemon - for added scent, too. You want a medium to thick paste that you can spread on your feet and massage in... then simply rinse with warm water and revel in your lovely looking feet!Natural Eye De-Puffing Tip. The heat of summer can leave us with puffiness around our eyes. To address puffy eyes, place a cold teaspoon under your eyes. Simply keep a metal teaspoon in your freezer, and when you are feeling a little puffy, place it on your eyelids or under your eyes. An instant de-puffer for no money at all!! And although cucumber slices and cold bags have been recommended in the past as other ways to de-puff the eyes, this can lead to a slight risk of irritants entering your eyes, so better to be safe than sorry! For more DIY beauty ideas check out my younger after 40 skin care tips!
