4 Ways to Look & Feel Younger, Naturally!

There are countless benefits to aging, yes you heard that right - benefits! So many beautiful milestones come with aging. Like seeing my daughters grow into amazing women, living an empty nest life with my hunny bunny, traveling, and so much more!! While it's fun to get to this stage in our lives, none of us want to look like we're aging. I am a firm believer in doing what makes YOU happy. Whether that's a lift here or some filler there, or all natural (like me, baby!), the choice is ultimately yours - no one else's! Saying that, I want to take a minute and share four ways that will make you look and feel younger, naturally!!
- Drink Water - Staying hydrated has a multitude of health benefits, like keeping your skin moisturized which lessens the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It will also help retain your skins elasticity over time!
- Moisturize - Adding a good moisturizer to your skin and hair will help counteract aging skin. I love to use organic coconut oil to moisturize when I get out of the shower. It's even good to use as a hair/scalp mask! Did you know the skin under your hair ages just like any other skin? You have to keep your scalp moisturized to keep your hair thick and luscious!
- Movement - Exercise is key when it comes to looking, and more importantly feeling younger. Getting your body moving is what's most important. You don't have to strive for a huge calorie burn or try to run a 5-minute mile. Here are a few lower impact ideas for you: a yoga class, 20-30 minutes of walking around your neighborhood, or working in your garden!
- Sleep - As we age, a little more sleep is needed than when we were in our 30's, 40's and even 50's. It's recommended that adults over the age of 60 get between 7 to 9 hours of sleep every night. Getting enough sleep helps your body to repair damage, replenish and rebuild cells to keep your skin looking and feeling fresh!
