Do you want more energy? Do you want to feel great? Water and oxygen are the keys to feeding every cell in your body, giving you great energy and helping you feel better. Staying hydrated is so important in so many ways. I recommend drinking about 64 ounces ( or eight 8-ounce glasses) of water each day to maintain healthy hydration, especially when you’re trying to lose weight.
I like to start my morning with a glass of water as soon as I wake up. I often add in a squeeze of lemon too, which is great for digestion and is a refreshing way to get your day started. Then before every snack and every meal I try to drink about 8 ounces. I also recommend eating plenty of fruits and vegetables. Their high water content will help you to stay hydrated, plus they’re so good for you in so many other valuable ways.
I have a water filter system that I keep on my counter, which makes it easy to grab a quick glass or refill a large water bottle throughout your day. It’s convenient and tastes great, and it allows me to use the water in my house which is great for the environment and a great money saver, too.

To jazz up my water, I love to add things like sliced cucumbers, mint, strawberries, or orange slices. I also try to keep water with me everywhere I go - in my car, at my desk, in the kitchen, in the bathroom, near my bed and, of course, right nearby when I’m exercising. All great reminders to drink up! The more you see it, the more you drink!!! Buy a reuseable water bottle and stay hydrated everywhere you may be!
Here are my top 10 reasons for drinking water and staying hydrated:
Fluid Balance. Water helps to maintain the body's fluid balance. It transports nutrients in the body, regulates body temperature and helps you to digest your food. So keep drinking water.
Calorie Control. Water helps you to feel full, and as a result you avoid overeating.
Clearer Skin. When you drink water, you’re flushing out toxins, which can reduce the risk of pimples, and it keeps your skin younger looking.
Productivity Boost & Good Brain Function. When you’re properly hydrated, you’re better able to concentrate because you’re more refreshed and alert. A common symptom of dehydration is fatigue, so drink up! Drinking water also improves blood flow & oxygen flow to brain strengthening memory and overall brain function.
Sickness Fighter. Staying hydrated is great for preventing illness.
